We have chosen not to attend Unifieds. Going to be traveling a heck of a lot during the month of January. Auditions booked for BW and Point Park in November, CM, NYU, Pace in January. Waiting on Ithaca and U Michigan. Have any of your children applied to both the vocal performance and MT programs at any school?
Elon says the Fall MT audition dates are released today…anyone heard yet? My S is hoping to get a November date.

Sounds like Elon notices went out today already…we asked to change from Feb to Nov, but the dept. said no changes allowed. SO, if you have requested a Fall audition they have sent out notices.
My D got her Elon prescreen “yes” today. I think her audition date is 11/10.
We will be heading to Elon November 3! Thank goodness! It’s my D’s favorite! I worried over that one!

S just heard (yes) from Otterbein. So far that is a yes from CMU, Pace, Baldwin Wallace, Emerson, Rider and Roosevelt. Waiting on a few others, but so far so good! But, just to let you know he finished everything Sept. 1st. I think he is going to pass on Elon since they can’t move his audition date. Break legs to everyone.
Yikes! Is my daughter the only one who hasn’t even filmed her pre-screens? She’s still working on her material with her coaches. She keeps telling us we have plenty of time.
@collegemom2000 I wanted to get it done before school started because my S could devote more time in the summer. I also heard some audition dates fill up early. I hear you are fine, as long as it is by Nov. 1st.
I don’t know who her coaches are or what they are telling her, @collegemom2000 but I know two years ago our coach wanted our prescreens taped and submitted my mid-October, at the latest.
We use MTCA coaches which have been great. It’s our fault she is late, she is just too busy to get them done. But we keep being told she is fine so I haven’t been panicking but maybe it’s time to light a fire under her!

@collegemom2000 I am in the same place with my son. He has been too busy to get his prescreens done, and I am feeling more and more panicky as I see posts about prescreens in and responses out. His current show wraps this weekend so hoping to get them completed in the next couple of weeks. Deep breaths!
@collegemom2000 My daughter also worked with MTCA last year and they are wonderful and they do know what they are talking about so don’t worry. My daughter had high hopes of getting things done early last year, but due to a series of two shows in a row over summer and into fall plus a Christmas show that began rehearsal in October, she was seriously overbooked. We did not complete her prescreens until mid November and were literally spending the Thanksgiving holiday weekend finishing up applications, essays, etc. There were a number of schools, including UMich, Ithaca, etc, where she was submitting all the material on the last day of the deadline. I honestly stopped checking in here during the months of October and November because I felt so hopelessly behind. And in the end, even though we pushed it right up to the limit, she passed almost all of her prescreens, had no trouble getting dates at even some of the most competitive programs like UMich and CMU and ended up getting accepted into a great program she loves. The only schools for which she was just too late to the party were CCM and BW which disappointed her, but ces’t la vie. It all worked out in the end and I wasted a lot of time being way too stressed out. So while I don’t recommend waiting until the last second, my point is that we did and it still was fine. You have time - breathe!!

Agree with @Troykat - if auditioning at Elon on 11/4, get your tix asap for Hello Dolly. Who knows if there will be any tix available at the door.
