Musicians come in!

banjo- 3 years! (favorite instrument lol)

guitar- 8 years

piano- 6 years

took a year of guitar lessons back in 3rd grade, but other than that, self taught.

i play any tune that peaks my interest at a given time, and i usually try to learn it o all 3 instruments.

Piano. I’m playing beethovan’s sonata op. 14, no.2, which is hard for me.
I’m also playing Mozart’s Fantasy in D minor, K 397, which is kind of easy.

Clarinet: I don’t remember the name of the pieces. but I’m good. I’m the first chair in my county.

Oboe, not good at all but hey it’s a hard instrument!

Shmluza-- Mozart’s Fantasy is beautiful, and even if it isn’t one of the hardest pieces, played musically it can be astounding. I just love to hear of people playing it.

Piano, ten years. Playing rachmaninoff g-min prelude, my funny valentine (jazz solo), the petite suite (debussy), scaramouche (milhaud), and an arrangement of mario for fun. I stay away from mozart/baroque at all times =P

Cello, five years. Playing shostakovich cello concerto… It’s really difficult.

Hardcore learning the waldstein and liszt’s first piano concerto. Gotta pump them out before school ends, at the latest. Heheh

Piano: 8 years. Beethoven’s Sonata in E Major, Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude.

Viola: 4 years. Kreutzer etudes, Walton Concerto.

@emerald, you’re absolutely right. I should correct myself. Technically, that Fantasy is not hard, but playing it musically is a real challenge. It is very beautiful! I played it last October for a recital. I think I did reasonably well. It was Halloween. we were allowed to put on Halloween costumes. So I was dressed up like a jedi. It was fun. Oh I love star wars! :D

There are so many piano players lol…
I play the tuba, have played it for 6 years

@HarryJones That is fantastic.

Piano, 9 years, quit to devote my time to flute.
Flute, 8 years, and picked up the piccolo recently.
Voice…I discovered I could sing a few years ago. It’s just a hobby though, nothing serious.

@mrfairladyz Simple Gifts makes me want to kill myself. I played it at least 3 times in different ensembles. Grainger, however, is awesome. Do you know Lincolnshire Posy?

Violin for 8 yrs, Bruch Scottish Fantasy + Beethoven Sonata No1 + Saint-Sa

Piano: 9 years, Beethoven Sonata, Clementi Sonatina, Bach Prelude, something else I forget (God I can never remember the names of my pieces)

Trumpet: 8 years, but I never practice and don’t take lessons so I pretty much suck, whatever we’re playing in band

Piano: 7 years, I play really whatever is in front of me… a lot of Phantom of the Opera stuff though.

Guitar: 6 years, this is more of an on and off thing

Cello: 4 months, I’m just going through the books… It’s so much fun though!

Organ: 7 years, I actually started on organ and switched to piano, I play just whatever I feel like playing at the time

Handbells: 6 years, I’m in the church bell choir… so really we just play church songs. A recent fun song though was Gaudeamus.

Percussion: 3 years, I play whatever is needed to be played at church.

trombone: 7 years, continuing in college next year as a member of the pride of west virginia, the mountaineer marching band :D

guitar: 4 years, im not very good its just something i enjoy

ukulele: 3 years, i just learned enough to impress people and make peole laugh lol
