Must fill out entire application before getting ADDITIONAL FORMS??? SOMEONE PLZ HELP!

Hi, I'm filling out my application for PART II and it says this:

Your application is not yet complete. Once we have processed your online application and assigned your university ID number, you will need to return to this site to download the additional forms (Forms to Download) which are required to complete the application process. These forms should be available within 3 to 5 working days.

Does this mean that I have to submit my application and then download the forms? That doesn't make sense because I need the counselor report and transcript request form now, but it doesn't let me get these forms until after they process my application.

Do I have to complete everything or what..im confused

My son filled out the on-line application. He also had a paper brochure from USC which contains a lot of easy to read instructions. He took the paper (not on-line) recommendation form to his guidance counselor for a recommendation and the transcript form to the transcript office. Do you have a paper application? If not, I guess these forms can be down loaded. It sounds like first you submit your on-line application and then USC will send you on-line forms for you to give to the appropriate staff for recommendations and transcripts. On-line application (part 2) must be filled out by you. The recommendation forms are given to whomever you are requesting recommendations. The transcript form goes to your high school transcript office (plus you have to supply the envelopes and stamps). I hope this makes sense.

From the FAQ's on the USC Admission website:
If I apply online... how do I provide the other required documents?
Other required documents, such as the High School/College Transcript Request and the School Report, can be downloaded and then printed so that you can mail them later.

You can download the forms here:

I think they want to make sure you have your USC ID number before you submit the additional forms so maybe that will be available in 3-5 working days. If you want to be sure, give them a call.

Last year my D gave the GC and teachers the forms before she completed Part II. The HS required the students to submit the forms quite early so that GC/teachers had plenty of time. She downloaded the forms from the USC site somewhere if I remember correctly. They therefore did not have the ID # since the forms were not linked to her app, so she added that in pen. Did you do Part 1?, ..if so you must have your ID # by now. If not, then indicate your name, DOB, and high school on the forms. I hope you can find them. Unless something has changed this year, they were downloadable in the Admissions section of the USC site.
If you can't find them, call USC. They are very flexible and helpful with any problems or concerns.

ok, above post has the link...good luck

thank you everyone!
