Hey guys, so the main point is that I've been slacking off in the first quarter of my senior year. This can be attributed to many things such as SAT's, college stuff, etc., but in the end it's my own fault. Also I have the worst teacher I've ever had (physics), the class is really pathetic and it's pretty much a self-teach course with a 7th grade reading level book. Here are my following grades for quarter 1 (just ended last week) and I'm wondering how much it will affect admission to the schools I'm looking into.

Spanish: A-
English: A-
Theory of Knowledge: A+
Politics: B+
Math: C-
Gym: A+
Science: either failing by a couple points or passing by a couple - I haven't received the official grade

Schools that I'm applying to:
Elon U
UMCP
PSU
James Madison
Indiana U-B
SUNY Albany
Bowling Green State
and I'm thinking about either applying to U of Arizona or Arizona State

P.S.- if it matters at all, my intended major is Journalism/Communications.

colleges do not see first quarter grades if you are applying RD, bc the mid-year school report is for semester grades (which they see), so just bring those up by january.

someone might want to cofirm this but i am almost positive.

Ok, so I just got my quarter 1 grades today, and quite frankly, I'm very worried. My gpa throughout HS is a 89.91, however my senior grades are terrible:

I know that my grades will see an increase for quarter 2, but my question is, how much will this affect admissions? I am applying RD to all my schools. It also doesn't help that my physics teacher is the worst at explaining things and doesn't know how to teach - I'm going to try to switch out into a different teachers class where I'm confident I'll do better.

it will not hurt you AT ALL as long as you can work hard and get them up by semester when colleges actually ask for your grades to be send to them.. but again colleges do not see quarter grades soooo chillax... i believe.
