Alright, so, UCSC is my number one choice for college next year. I've applied at a few other schools (berkeley, humboldt, SLO, UCSB, UCSD, UCLA) but I'm really set on UCSC no matter wherever else I get accepted. I'm just curious to know if I've got as good as a shot as my counselor says I do.

UC GPA = 4.1
SAT = 1910 (reading:700,writing:610,math:600)
3 years of tennis (one varsity)
2 years of high school orchestra, one of college orchestra (UCR) ..I play the viola
3 years in the Gay Straight Alliance Club (no leadership positions)
I have 6 years of math, 5 APs
California resident

I applied as a Psychology major, but with my second choice as Neuroscience and Behavior..and will most likely pursue a double major...but that's beside the point.

..and I'm pretty confident with my essays.

Those aren't the stats that I'm worried about, however. During the first semester of senior year, I got reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly sick and had to drop AP Physics and AP Literature (noted on my applications.) I've been in a home study program because of this illness, and I'm a bit worried that my grades might be low this semester. I'm not expecting any failed classes or D's...but possibly a few C's. I wrote this in the third section of the essay portion of the application, but I'm still really concerned about this. Is this illness going to mess up my chances?
...or do I still have a decent shot?
