My AP Biology class is behind...

Anyone ever use Campbell Biology (AP Edition)?

We have gone through about 20 chapters.

We have reviewed 3 units.

We have more than 30 chapters and 5 units left.

We have only 30 more school days until the exam.

Here's the thing. My teacher is not that healthy or fit. She's not exactly overweight, but you can tell she has trouble just trying to do things fast. The fact that she has a rowdy 9th-grade repeaters class for freshman biology doesn't help the stress either. Even more, she was out for a week with pneumonia.

However, I have no idea how my teacher can spend the class period (wait, it's a double period!) going at a snail's pace when she knows that we, as a class, have to learn biochemistry, cell biology, biodiversity, genetics, ecology, plant form and function, and animal form and function in 180 days. Instead of doing unit tests, she has us doing chapter tests. We've had no practice writing any open-responses either. In this school year, we've only done 4 labs. There is no way we'll be able to finish everything in time for the exam.

She does recommend that we independently study the book for the exam.

What do you suggest I should do?

You do what she recommended- independently study for the exam.

And I recommend you start now.

Start. NOW.

My class just finished the entire book, but retained absolutely nothing about Biology.

I’m currently in the process of disecting Cliff’s.

Start now!!! Best of luck:)

APCliff is one of the best study guide for Biology. If you’re going to take the exam, self-study.
