my art "resume" :(

I'm submitting a visual arts/drawing portfolio supplement. Problem is I don't know what to put for my resume. I've only attended one art class, in the past year. I've won no awards (probably could, I'm pretty sure my art is good). This looks awfully short as a resume...

"• I attended the Teen Portfolio Prep class with ____ at ____ Arts Center, Pants City during fall 2008, spring 2009, and fall 2009.
Course description: 'This course is intended to help students prepare their own distinctive portfolio suitable for college applications. Participants will work with a variety of media essential to develop a high quality portfolio; subjects of study include the human figure (nude models), portraiture, design, landscapes and still lives. Open discussion and critique will allow for further awareness and expressiveness.'"

Should I add that I self-studied my art skills?? My teacher mentions this in her rec already. Would I phrase it like "Self-study for 17 years (my age)"? I've been drawing "seriously" since 6th grade... would I put 6 years instead? D:

thanks for help with my resume fail!

i am submitting a film supplement and these are the categories i had

Film Courses Taken:
Film Related Activities:
Film Festivals:

you could also add something like
Why it interests me:
or write a short paragraph describing how you began doing art

Do I really need to have an resume? Can if be optional? cuz I too, have nothing much to put on… ><

i’m pretty sure that the common app art supplement requests a resume
you can be informal
give some details about what you do in your class
or talk about how you look at art in your spare time…
but if the common app asks for a resume, put one on
something is better than nothing

look at some sample resumes if you want for hints

Thanks for the replies! I think I’ll just add an artist statement/describe my art. :]
