Heres the deal Im in my 2nd semester of my first year of college at my local community college and im desperately trying to transfer out. My top choice school just sent me a letter that said I was misssing 1 or 2 core courses, a math, science w/ lab, and history. (what do they mean 1 or 2 i know im missing all three) Every semester I enroll in the math, science, and history classes I need, but they are always full and have ridiculously long waiting lists which I put my self on but never get into the class.

I would love to take the classes I need but I cant, its impossible (do not tell me that is not true cause it is 100% true). What should I do about this? Summer classes? Try to work out some deal that I can take the classes at my #1 choice over the summer and if I pass im in? All this college stress is killing me. Please help!
Thanks in advance

Talk to the college you’re trying to transfer into and tell them your situation [and your plans for doing summer school]. See what they say. I would take the summer courses regardless.

Does your CC offer any of them as summer or online courses? If not, other schools nearby might. Also, you might see if your intended transfer school will accept CLEP exam credit for history and self-study for it.

I am planning on picking up an accelerated course in march (already enrolled) but in April my employee housing runs out and ill have to move back in with my parents in Florida so ill be taking the courses at the local CC there regardless, but how does that look jumping from one CC to another while transferring? I feel like I would definitely benefit from an interview so I can explain everything but the school dosent require an interview, or even letters of rec. and an essay. This whole process is ridiculously stressful!!!

Pick up the phone. Call the place that you are trying to transfer to. Set up an appointment with the admissions staffer who is handling your paperwork. Find out what can be done in your situation.

Heres the deal I called the school and talked to my admission counselor. He said if I kept my grades up this semester and took the classes this summer he would let me in provided they have room. To me it sounds kinda like an empty promise since its just his word and nothing in writing. Thoughts? Comments? Further suggestions?
Thanks

He is offering you a conditional admission. This is a good thing. Thank him for the offer, and ask if he can put it in writing. If he can’t give you a letter because of institutional policy, ask if he can put a note in your file. Don’t forget to ask for any deadlines you would need to meet for completing your summer courses, and if there is a specific GPA target that you much reach.

He never mentioned anything about a target gpa just told me to keep my grades up and send him my transcript the second my spring grades are in and then send him a partial transcript of the summer classes im taking. I feel pretty good about it but I dont want to get to excited and not get in
