My chances at all the UC schools?

Currently, here are my grades. I am going to be a Senior next year and I live in North California.

I will be as honest as I can so you guys can give me your honest opinions as well. Hopefully you can give me constructive criticism!
All classes that are weighted I'll put a W by it.

I was ranked 91/463 after Sem 1 of JR. Year, so I'm quite sure I moved up after sem 2.

SATS were about average for my school.. I got a 1660. I believe 640 in math, 500 in Writing, 520 in Reading. DEFINATELY plan to improve. I didn't study and I regret it, so I'm going to dedicate a lot of time to SATs.

SAT 2 scores have not come in yet.

Some facts:

I have been in Student Government/Council for 2 years, going to be 3 next year. I am the Student Body Treasurer this year, as well as next year, the technical 3rd highest ranked position.

This year I tutored in the library Mon-Wed after school from 3:00-4:30.

Our school has 2 blood drives every year, and this year, I ran both of them. I was able to get school records both times, so I was quite satisfied. I'll be running the next 2 also.

I have been in Key Club since freshman year, and next year I'll be an Public Relations officer next year.

I have been in Asian Club since freshman year, and I'll be co-president next year.

I have been a volunteer at the National Tree Foundation, a group out to clean the environment and plant trees.

I am Chinese.

I can speak Mandarin fluently.

I've visited many countries, including China, Taiwan, and Japan.

Well.. I think that's all I got! Hopefully you guys can give some opinions on how I can improve my chances at ALL UC schools. My dream school is UCLA, but I'm definately realistic. I'm also very interested in all the mid-tier schools.

Thanks for your time!

Oh yeah, going to University of Pacific to go into their Law program is also something I am very interested in.

Your GPA calculations are a bit off. Only the five core areas (English, math, history, science, language) are used to calculate GPA. Your UC GPA (the only one that's weighted) is the cumulative GPA of sophomore and junior years; up to 8 semesters (4 years/classes) of weight can be given to approved honors and AP/IB courses, with the scale A=5, B=4, C=2, D/F=0. Your UW GPA, from what I can see, goes 2.5-3.0-3.6-3.8 (soph-junior), and your UC GPA is 3.67. So...

Berkeley/UCLA: big reach
UCSD: reach
UCI/UCD/UCSB: slight reach
UCR/UCM/UCSC: match

If you'd really like to go to UCLA, I would go to a CC first, get into the honors program, and then transfer. I think you get guaranteed admission to UCLA and some other UCs if you do well in the honors program at a CC.

It's cool that you've improved your grades so much over your three years. Your ECs also look good for the UCs. My concern is that your UC GPA will be too low and that your SATs could improve. Jumping up into the 1800 or 1900bracket could really help with Davis-Irvine-SB. Sorry that I can't predict your chances, but the UCs publish most of their acceptance stats in detail. Go see where you fall in the ranges for each school to understand where you have a good shot (UCLA is a big reach though for now).

^^ I think you meant "but the UCs don't publish most of their acceptance stats in detail," in which case I'd say no. They do -- it's on the UC website.

http://universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/selecting/camp_profiles.html

Click on each school in the navigation bar to see their average stats. Further, you can see the breakdown and acceptance rates of the different GPAs/SAT scores by clicking on the 'detailed ADMIT RATE chart.'

i'm pretty sure you can't get a "D"...?

kyledavid80, I was giving normal GPA calculations, I already know my UC GPA is around 3.71 I think.

And I am not willing to go to CC, and then to UCLA only for the reason that I know my capabilities. CC would most likely give me a not so perfect work ethic, and going to UCLA, would crush me.

blah will edit
