I just got back scholarship news from Fordham, and I'm not very happy with myself. I'm starting to feel that maybe I'm not good enough for BC or NYU. While it's true that I sent my low first sitting of the SAT to Fordham, it was only about 100 points less composite than my second sitting. Anyway, enough rambling, here are my stats:

GPA: 94.2 Mid-year.

SAT: 660 Math (easily my weak point), 720 Critical Reading, 770 Writing
AP Scores: 3 AP World History, 4 AP US History, 4 AP European History, 5 AP English Language and Composition.

SAT II: 650 Math I (Ergh...), 760 Literature, 680 US History. (2150 Composite)

Course Load: I've been in AP Classes since freshman year (AP World), and this year I'm taking three: Psychology, Literature, and Government. Other courses:

Meteorology
World Religions
Calculus

Essay: I think it was good. My AP Lit teacher found nothing wrong with it, but I know my skills as a writer, and quite frankly, I know that my essay was not the absolute best that I could do. It's not bad by any means, though.

Recommendations: One was probably good-great from my AP English Language and Comp teacher, the other was most likely positively glowing from my French teacher of three years.

Extra Curricular: Will have about 100 Hours of service upon graduation, I'm the assistant stage manager of my school's drama club, I'm in NHS, and I'm in a few clubs here and there. I play Varsity Volleyball, too.

Hooks: The only ones I can think of are that I'm an only child, and neither of my parents went to college. I'm not sure if those qualify as "hooks" though.

I'm very aware that Stern, at this point, is wishful thinking. That's a Top 10 business school, and I don't think my scores are where they need to be to get me in there. BC Carrol...I don't really know where I stand. Sometimes I'm confident, and other times I'm really not. It depends on the day.

So, CC, what do you think? Do I have a shot :\?

Edit: Oh, I've been accepted to the schools of business at Northeastern, UConn, Fordham, and Iona. All on scholarships (haven't actually gotten an amount from Iona yet).
