I have yet to take the SAT...my GPA is 3.9 and class rank is #11 out of 1161 students, graduated with high honors. I'm also a member of the National Honor Roll. I have been a professional tennis player for 4 years, travelling the world and competing in Grand Slams and various professional tennis tournaments. I thought this may help me get in, and be a unique essay topic. What do you think my chances are? What SAT scores would I need to aim for? Thanks!!

Although I don't know your chances, I would definitely shoot for a 2200+ SAT. With a 700+ in CR and Math at least.

That's cool - competing in junior Grand Slams? What rank are you? [I'm a fan of tennis, just nowhere near that level]

I'm a tennis fan too myself. You're a pro tennis player? Are you serious, or joking???? Sounds very phony but if it's true that will definitely help if you try to get recruited. Contact the Princeton tennis coach in your junior year and try to get SATs over 2000

I think that Vandy would be ineligible to play tennis at Princeton if he/she has played pro tennis. If Vandy has been out of school for four years while playing the pro tour, Princeton might have some questions about current academic skills and the SAT scores could be extremely important.

midatlmom is right about the tennis part. I'm pretty sure vandy can't get recruited if she's not an amatuer
