My top choice is uc santa cruz and i was wondering if I fit the qualification range.
Stats:
•I took 4 Ap classes ( however I’m thinking of dropping one because I have a C which will lower my Gpa)
•Sat: 1180
•have a weighted Gpa of 3.89
•have a variety of extra curriculars such as translating at a hospital in english, spanish and
Arabic
• participated in multiple clubs and was the treasurer and vice president of two of the clubs

Are you a Senior? Is your weighted GPA, your UC GPA capped weighted?

Do you have safety schools on your list?
I can only advise based on your stats but your Essays and EC’s will all contribute to your chances and showing leadership will help.
For UCD, your UC GPA is below the 25th percentile along with your SAT score: 25th-75th percentile is 3.95 - 4.25
For UCSC, your UC GPA and SAT score is within range, 24th-75th percentile is 3.70 - 4.13
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 (capped weighted):
UCB: 14%
UCLA: 14%
UCSD: 44%
UCSB: 54%
UCD: 58%
UCI: 65%
UCSC: 85%
UCR: 94%
UCM: 96%
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT:
UCB: 1280-1490
UCLA: 1280-1500
UCSD: 1250-1470
UCSB: 1290-1450
UCD: 1190-1430
UCI: 1190-1420
UCSC: 1170-1380
UCR: 1090-1310
UCM: 1020-1230
Conclusion:
UCD is a High Match/Low Reach
UCSC is a Match.
Best of luck and I hope you applied widely and have some safety schools on your list.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to reply! Yes, I’m a senior and I did apply to other safety schools such as San Francisco State, UCM, UCR, and San Jose State. I also had one more question.Do you think if I earned a C in an Ap class this semester it would look bad on my application, if so should i drop the class??
UC’s will not use Senior grades for the admission decisions unless they ask for an augmented review (which is not common) so as long as you pass all Senior courses with a C or higher, you should be fine. For UCSC/UCD, you want to maintain a Weighted GPA of 3.0 with no D’s or F’s. I would continue with AP course and strive for the best grade possible.
i think ucsc is a coin toss. The rest on your ap list are likely to take you.
good luck.
