<p>Varsity football is great and a ton of American boys play it, but it's not going to matter at Stanford unless you are recruited. Look at D3 schools if you're a good player.</p>

<p>Anyways I agree with you that Football isn't going to have nearly, and I mean nearly, as much as an effect on my chances of getting in as if I were being recruited, but on the other hand I strongly believe that they will really like to see it..</p>
<p>As far as I know, UCSD is the only UC that has come out and told us what they gives points for. There, a non recruited varsity sport means squat. Focus on what's important. Write a great essay and give them a reason to want you. Hoping theat football will get you in won't help.</p>
