My Chances in Florida?

I know most of you guys are going to consider my ACT/SAT scores mediocre and slightly laughable but I consider my self just a hard working student who is not very smart. Please give me your input at my chances in colleges in Florida that include The University of Florida, University of Miami, and Florida State University.

My Stats:
Age 17, Senior

Unweighted GPA- 3.66
Weighted GPA- 4.54 (Took lots of AP classes)
Rank: 4/250 (top 2%)

SAT score: Composite:1690 (Math:630, Verbal:550, Writing:510 w/ a 9 on the essay)
ACT score: Composite: 24

Extracurriculars: Couple years of JV and Varsity football, NHS, Key Club, 75 hours of community service.

Thanks.

SATs, ACTs are low for UF and UM. Just retake. You need at least a 1200, 27 ACT. The rest is fine.

FSU is a match. UF and UM, get the test scores up and you should be fine.

I think with your rank you should be more than OK for UF.

I believe your class rank (above top 5%) makes you an automatic admit to UF...but call the admission's office to be sure.

have fun at FSU

Class rank doesn not make students automatic admits.

Actually, apply for UF's summer session (rather than fall admit) you'll have a better chance. You probably will get merit money at FSU.

It's worth a call to the admissions office regarding automatic admits. For students entering in the fall of 2004 (and I believe this years class as well), UF did have an automatic admit policy for Florida public high school graduates graduating in the top 5% of their class. Although this information was not well publicized, it was it fact true...and it may still be....it's worth a call in any case.

I called the admissions office of Florida about automaic admits.I left a message, still no word.
