my chances of going into 7 year med...

I am almost done being a junior...which means that its almost time to start applying to colleges and universities. I have been looking into accelerated medical programs for quite some time now. What are my chances of getting into these type of programs? I am looking into USF, UCF, and FSU 7 year med programs but i will also apply to a few outside of state. I am in the IB program at my school and my ranking is 16/700. My schedule is very rigorous as I am taking HL Chemistry (2nd hardest HL course at my school), HL History, HL English, AP biology, Spanish III, and SL Economics (for 11th grade). Am i bound to get into atleast one of them if i apply to 7 or so?

below are my stats:

GPA unweighted: 3.78
GPA weighted: 4.42
SAT score: 2150
AP Scores: World History: 3, Statistics: 3, Art History 4, Lang and Comp: 4

ECs:

Historian of NHS

IB Club Junior Officer

Mu Alpha Theta

President of Tampa Indian Society of Florida Youth Group

Volunteering/Med related Activities:
- about 100 hrs so far at the hospital
- Relay for Life (helper for selling items and setting up booths as well as participating in the walk)
- Breast Cancer Walk
- shadowed a neurologist and internal medicine doctors
- Eyecare for India (raised around $1000)
- The Heritage at Tampa (nursing home for elderly with Alzheimer's disease

I know the average is around 3.9 unweighted for these programs but i have known a few people who have well below this to get in.

I was recently at an info session at U Rochester where they talked about their 8-year BA/MD program. As I recall (I was not paying that close attention, as it’s not an interest of my D) they said they have about 900 applications for 10 spots. Not a typo - 10 openings, 900 applicants.

your scores are too low. Also where are your SAT2s?

Being Indian is also a disadvantage. What state do you live in? Some programs are preferential to students in-state, so you have a decent shot if you’re in-state.
6 & 7 Year Med. Programs look mostly at SAT Scores and GPA. Your extracurriculars are fine, but you might wanna take the SAT one more time and go for a 2250+

i took my SAT IIs in may so the scores should be coming out in a few days… and i live in florida, so im applying to all the med programs here.

im hearing various things though, so in general though, is my gpa high enough to qualify for 7 year med? or is it too low?

USF’s accelerated med program allows “Any eligible student” into their 7 year med track program as long as they meet the requirements (1350 V/M SAT or 30 ACT + 3.80 UW).
UCF is the same thing as USF’s. 3 years undergrad at UCF and the rest at FSU’s med school.
I don’t know about FSU, but im guessing their requirements are about the same.
