Your class load looks great... I would definitely plan to take those APs you mentioned, theyll help your chances at the Air Force Academy.

I just got accepted to USAFA back in December... still deciding whether or not i want to go. But anyways, your class load looks a lot like mine, though you have more honors classes. Keep that gpa where it is, theyll look at that and your test scores. I would also recommend taking the ACT two or three times, because they take your best scores from each sitting-- so when all was said and done, I had a 33 on my ACT when it was superscored.

However, numbers are only half of your application at USAFA and USNA. They want to see leadership and initiative, which I can tell you have. Take a summer course at a community college or go on a service trip this summer. The track team will help you too. If possible, try to put yourself in the position to get a Captain position next year, as that will help you immensely. I'm the captain this year of the varsity hockey team, and I think that looked good on my app.

Also, get to know your Liason Officer-- he can make or break you! If there is a local college fair in your area, GO and meet the Academy's rep, as he will most likely be your LO. Otherwise I'm sure you can find a listing online. I got to know my LO sophomore year and stayed in touch with him here and there via e-mail. Once the interview came, he knew me fairly well and it was a piece of cake.

One last word of advice: make sure you are in shape (as im sure you are). Basically, if you can do well in school and ECs and sports PLUS conquer the CFA, you'll be setting pretty by this time next year. Hope this helped (for the academies anyway!) Best of luck to you!

You have a great chance at the Academies. However, I'd raise the SAT a little. My friend (a guy) got in with a 2260 but with nowhere as good a class rank as you have. He ran track and cross country. Good luck!
