Pretty good shot at all the schools except if I were you I wouldn't send that ACT score... 1350 SAT > 27 ACT.. SAT II's are ehh but I dont think itll matter since i dont think any of ur schools require them.. gl

ok, thank you

It's really hard to determine someone's chance without knowing their unweighted GPA. Is that 4.12 a weighted GPA or is your GPA actually 4.0? If you really do have a 4.0, you'd probably be accepted.

the GPA on my transcript is the 4.12, unless NYU fugures it out for themself, my school doesn't unweigh them i guess

to which school are you applying to my friend. I reckon you are pushing with your ethnicity. Yes, being a mixture of more than one ethnicities might be something you know. Your stats are not impressive but not bad at all, and they are actually too perfectly average. Your G.P.A. is, I assume, weighted and it would be better for us, for sake of evaluating, to know your un-weighted G.P.A.

Again, your stats are not impressive but they are in the NYU range. However, since you are in the Regular Decision pool, you have to realize what you are up against. Unless you have something extraordinary, you do not have a good shot at NYU. But your rather rare ethnicity will def help you. By the way, did you specify that you are half English? is your father of a Hispanic origin? then this might help you. Are you poor and live in a stark poverty? this might help you too. Are you gay or lesbian and has been harrassed by your fellow students constantly throughout your life and you wrote an essay on this? this might also help you, but depends on the reader. Are you a war veteran and fought against terrorists and rebels? this might also help you. Are you missing parts of your body which you should normally have? this might also help you. Did one of your parents graduate from N.Y.U.? this helps you too. Did you start a company and now you are making tons of money? this is a great achievement, and surely this helps you too. Do you have AIDS or any other severe diseases? this helps you too, and if you do, you should write about this explaning why you have done poorly at H.S. Do you live in Arizona? Idaho? Alaska? or from anyother underrpresented states? if you are from one of those states, this helps you too.

There is an infinite number factors count towards your application status. But I am sure that if more than 3 of the circumstances I listed above are not applicable, then you have very little chance. by the way, I am joking.

lol, ok for the unweighted thing, i have only 6 b's on my transcript (4 from Honors classes) and 33 A's, does this help at all?? And my essay definately tells them that i'm english, and I live in texas. I hope they feel sorry for me, being English and living in texas is ammusing, imagine the "Ya'lls" contrasting against my strong british accent!

You are aso funny English. I really do hope you get in, seriously.

Thank You, I hope so too, I want to see more of America (I live in Katy, Texas)!! What about the other schools??

I knew I shouldn't have called this thread my chances

USC is a reach school but others, i think you have a good shot.
also why don't you apply to Boston College, Boston University, George Washington University. they are all around Boston and D.C. areas. I think you want to get the hell out of Texas and move into some "civilized" places such as New York, Boston, D.C. and other N.E. areas. right? :) I think for you, colleges near or in big cities would be nice.

by the way, I was joking. you have 60% chances. why? because you did not apply E.D. you should have. if you did, then about 70 or 75%

How did you guess that I wanted to get out of Texas??LOL!! Well, I was thinking about GW, I thought the Boston's would be too difficult, NYU's my hardest school i think

who doesn't want to get out of Texas? dont' go there, seriously. If you want a good job, stay here in NYC.

http://www.mcrorie.ca/

check this out, my favorite rock star

lol, is he really your fav??

yea, why? what's wrong? this is the NYU style, if you like him, you should def apply to NYU.

LOL, you mean you don't just love kenny and the Dixie Chicks (wait they insulted Bush, so never mind)! What kind of music is he?? AND hey over 50 ppl have viewed this thread please give me your opinions!!

God, what a poor Englishman! I can see you, in Texas, an only Englishman, typing all these, so happy to see some real "people". :)

give me your IM, i shall like to entertain you. Texas is surely a sh|t hole, especially for foreginers who are not used to Texan life style.

i'm an english girl for a start, and yeah, i'm a bit culture deprived

lol sorry, Englishwoman. yes, there is probably nothing to do in Texas, even if you are from Dallas or Austin. I do not know very well about England, but I assume it's bit more urbanized than Texas suburban. seriously, if you come here NYC or just around NYC like Bergen County, there is so much to do.

I really do think you have a good chance. apply to NYU. and I would like to see you there too :)

are you applying to NYU? Where do you live? I'm in a suburb near Houston, and yes, there isn't much here
