My chances?

PLEASE TELL ME!!! :)
Well, I have a GPA of 3.6 and in total I will be taking four APs and one college credit course throughout High school.
-AP American
-AP Composition
-AP Government
-AP Literature
-AP Enviornmental

(JR YR CLASSES: AP Comp-A (5 on AP), AP American- B (4 on AP), Math-B+, Chem-B+, Latin- A+, Video Production-A+,)
(SR YR CLASSES: SUPA econ, precalc, AP GOV, AP LIT, AP Envi, college business law)

MAJOR: JOURNALISM
MINOR: COMMUNICATIONS/BUSINESS

On my SATs I got a score of 2010 and if you combine the first two together, it is a 1360. My GPA is lower though than many applying to BU, so I would just enter CGS which is fine. I would be doing early decision to BU because I have been dying to go there since I was ten. My ACT I will be getting back in two days, I'd say a minimum of a 27 to a 32. I am not sure if I should take SAT IIs, if I do I would be taking MathIC and Lit in October.

I have about 12 writing awards currently where I am published for my poetry, all of them are national and one of them is published internationally and is on a CD sold globally (I am not THAT big of a nerd ) I have excellent recomendations.

My outside activity is slim but that is because I did a lot of one thing.
-Over 1,000 hours of community service
-Ran my own food drives and raised $ for Island Harvest (they are writing me a letter of rec.)
-Editor and Junior editor of my yearbook
-Junior Varsity tennis 9,10
-Varsity Club 9, 10

My other schools consist of Delaware, GW, Maryland, Emory (REACH), Northeastern, and American (more as a safety). I go to the #14 school in the nation and we do not rank. If anyone can help me that would be great and I would appreciate the help a lot. Thank you so much. Hopefully I am not forgetting any of my stats, but this is the backbone to most of it anyway!

UPDATE:
1910 New SAT
710 CR
600 M
600 W

ACT:
30 Composite
26 English
28 Math
29 Science
35 Reading

What do you guys think?

Any ideas with the updated stats?

Thanks,

Ben

No one can say in this day and age but you look like a decent candidate and may do a little better on your senior year fall SAT. They will take your GPA into account based on the high ranking of your HS. Good luck.

oops I meant to clarify the the last post was for Jenlynn. Since you intend to do ED I think your chances are very good. Show interest. On the Application they ask for a paragraph on "Why BU." This is your chance to say what you said above and affirm that you will defintely attend if offered a spot.

BUMP, any more opinions on MY chances, hehe.

Just found my rank out, as of the end of Junior year.

65/592 (Top 10.9%)

I don't think there is a certain percentage of likelyhood you can have on your admitance to BU in the fall. As someone who has just gone through the process and heard stories from my friends, the best advice I can offer you is apply early and have a dialouge with the people in admissions.
BU, like all schools, is trying to create a well-rounded class with people from all walks of life and with all different educational backgrounds. Sure, you are trying to meet a certain criteria to be competitive in the pool (and I believe you have), but it is more than just numbers. Success lies in your ability to stand out in amongst the applicants because, as you can see if you look at other students' stats, there are plenty of smart kids across America. If you can highlight your own unique qualities and put a face/ voice to your application, you stand a much better shot at admission. Hope my words are helpful. Best of Luck...

^ Thank you, I will attempt to do so.

Any other opinions?

Any other input?
