<p>I'm so depressed in this situation. Due to my father, my grades face egregious decline.</p>
<p>Well I mean if someone shoved a camera in my face I wouldn’t be too happy either, but the way he treated you wasn’t very nice either. He could have just said, “Please leave, I need to do work(whatever) an want some space.” or something along those lines. When he got more irritated with you, you could tell in his voice and how much he stressed your name and his rapid breathing. Ermm anyway back onto the fact your grades are going down. Your father is most likely old school and expects to be respected and all that jazz. I don’t know why you are fighting, but taking deep breaths always helps me calm down. You might have to seclude yourself from your father if he makes you so upset when doing hw and try to talk to him and/or your mom about your fighting. It’s affecting you if you really don’t like this situation.</p>
<p>I caught him calling me a “mentally unstable idiot” in an e-mail. I called him out on it, filmed him, he got livid, then, he took the laptop computer. I needed that computer, I have work to do. </p>
<p>When people trash me like he does, I will admit that I don’t go out of my way to get on their good side.</p>
<p>Well that was clearly uncalled for. You don’t call anyone that…ever! And I understand confronting him, I would have, but you probably didn’t go about the right way. Do you know why he called you that, it’s not going to help his case but still.</p>

<p>Still you and that camera. I feel like you like to egg him on a little, but he does have a temper. It could be worse though, more screaming and yelling and throwing stuff.</p>
<p>When I was without a camera one time, he threatened to attack me with a blow-drier. </p>
<p>Thank God we’re not a gun family.</p>

<p>these don’t seem like ■■■■■ threads. i haven’t really heard of many kids documenting parental abuse to the internet like this but it seems like an interesting thing to do (if you can manage not to anger the parent in the filming process). a voice recorder might work easier though the range of evidence that can capture is more limited.</p>
