Since it's after 5pm and the Housing department is closed, I wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this problem.

So on December 27, I paid the $25 housing application fee. Today, I received the brochure-type thing telling me to fill out my housing agreement, but everytime I go to the website -- it tells me that I already filled it out.

I'm worried because I have not been able to select my dorms yet, and I really want to get into Murphree, Fletcher, or Sledd.

We are unable to proceed for the following reason(s):

Our records indicate that you already have a valid application for campus housing on file.

I'm just posting here to see if anyone else has had this happen to them, until I'm able to call the Housing department tomorrow.

I just wanted to stay that the murphree area is a great choice. I currently live there. Murphree might be hard to get into, but still try. I am not sure about your housing situation. Just call the housing office tomorrow.

Although we didn't get mail today (a truck blocked our mailbox so the mailperson skipped our house), I logged onto my housing and this is what it said:
"The Application for Campus Housing is not yet available throught the Housing and Residence Information and Services Portal.

Please click here to go to the Application for Campus Housing."
When I log into that I get the same message as you. I believe that the true link to the housing agreement (as opposed the the housing application) is not yet up and running. I would be interested to hear if any ED gators had any insight though.

Good choices. I have lived in two of the three. Its going to be hard to get a suite in Sledd and Fletcher but its possible because sophomores and juniors change their minds last minute and some open up for freshmans.

Just got the residence hall brochure in the mail telling D to log on and choose her housing. Funny thing, it says to view rent rates and facility info online (which will not be posted until March 2006)before completing the online agreement....but my D's agreement is due back by Feb. 27th or she loses her priority date! She is going for a double in either Broward (I think her first choice), Rawlings or Mallory. Her priority date is in Mid-October so she should get her first choice? We have the prepaid program so I hope we don't have any glitches like G8trmom did. Her close friends are not going to UF so she will go for a random roommate and pray for a sane and easygoing girl.

getmetocollege: yes. The actual housing "agreement" is done a few weeks after you are accepted to UF...you go online and fill out a form with dorm and room preferences and send $200 deposit/rent prepayment.
