My roommate is an exchange student, but shes only here for a semester...?

Hi,

So I live in a university apartment and my roommate is an exchange student and she's only staying for a semester....

does someone know what will happen when she leaves? will I be assigned a new roommate or will I keep the apartment to myself??

What makes you think you’ll get a satisfactory answer here? CC is neither a psychic parlor nor your school’s residence life office.

^
Agreed. Seriously. Do you think there is some universal answer to your question?

why are you guys so mean

You’ll probably get a new roommate. I moved into student housing for the second semester. My roommates former roommate moved out with her boyfriend, so they just assigned me her old space.
You’ll have to talk to one of the administration to get a real answer though.

It depends on how in need of housing your univ. is. If there’s a demand in the Spring semester, expect a new roommate. If not you’ll end up living alone.

I moved out on my roommate aftera few months “back in the day” and he spent the rest of the year alone.

Maybe, maybe not. If there’s someone who needs to move into a place on campus then you’ll get one. If not then you’ll have the place to yourself.
