My scholarship must be postmarked by Mon. 4/20. Does it mean it has to arrive there?!

<p>I'm doing the OCA scholarship. It's due on Mon. 4/20. Does it mean it has to arrive there that day or can I sent it out that day? I need more time, that's why I'm asking. If I can't send on Monday, I would have to send it today because the post office is close on Sunday.</p>

<p>No, it has to be mailed by Monday. The postmark is the printing put over a stamp that has the date on it.</p>

<p>If you can get it in today’s mail that would be good, but if it won’t be ready until Monday, you’ll be ok</p>

<p>That’s probably best. I forget my daughter’s stuff sometimes, too. It’s not on purpose, but it does happen.</p>

<p>Make sure you take it into the postoffice and get the clerk to go ahead and date stamp it. Otherwise, sometimes mail doesn’t get postmarked until later along the distribution route.</p>
