MyMIT is down for new forms?

“Tell us about an experience which, at the time, really felt like “the end of the world”— but had it not happened, you would not be who you are today. Describe the process through which you discovered value in the negative.”

“Tell us about the most significant challenge you’ve faced or something important that didn’t go according to plan. How did you manage the situation?”

I had a situation that really fit the old one, and it would be very hard to adapt it to the new one. Even if I could, I have half the space, so it looks like I’m going to have to come up with two completely different topics.

I’m glad it’s not the ‘end of the world’ topic. That’s something I wouldn’t want to talk about anyway. ‘Describe the world I come from’ is hard in the sense that, well, I live in suburbia and I don’t really know what to write about my cultural identity or whatever, but the creativity essay should be no problem for me.

well, for me what i would have written for “end of the world” is easily adaptable to “significant challenge,” so I guess I didn’t really see the difference at first. I can see how it’d be hard in some situations though.

I just submitted Part 1. Oh man, it’s good to get started. :D
