NAPSTErRS POST HERE

I started this thread to talk about NAPS. To start out, what is everyone bringing except for the very basics?

Personal Item Checklist

For the most part you will be issued everything you need while attending NAPS. However, the personal items listed below should be brought with you:

______ Shower shoes
______ Running shoes (do not substitute basketball, tennis or cross-training shoes)
______ Toiletries (soap, shampoo, razor, shaving cream, etc.)
______ Swimsuit, solid color, preferably dark blue or black (one piece for females)
______ Bathrobe, knee length or longer
______ Black pen, stationary, stamps, and notebook
______ Eight (8) pairs of underclothes
______ Four (4) sports bras (females)
______ Four (4) athletic supporters (males)
______ Hand calculator (must be capable of computing natural logs, exponential functions and inverse trigonometric functions)

NOTE: Wearing of cosmetics such as lipstick, nail polish, mascara, eye shadow, etc., and jewelry while in uniform is limited by military regulations at all times, and is further limited by time constraints during the Indoctrination Program. Do not bring hair clippers or barber utensils. Small hair dryers and electric razors are authorized. Do not bring boom boxes, TVs, game systems (i.e. XBOX), or tobacco products. Electronic equipment, i.e. cell phones, laptop computers and Palm Pilots will be maintained by the staff until the indoctrination period is complete.

by the way....My name is Garth and im going to NAPS as well

Wanted to wish all the Napsters luck this year as they embark on the journey. Just dropped my daughter off at the Academy last week and so far (knock on wood), she is doing outstanding. She was nervous going in (knows what she is in for...LOL) but after a few days has reported that all is so much easier because of the NAPS year. You guys will get a lot of liberty and money this coming year. Try to save some by having a direct withdrawl. Otherwise, trips to Providence eat away money like crazy. Best of luck during the year and also during Indoc. Remember to take it one day at a time and keep repeating the phrase, "They can't kill you and they can't stop time" when frustrated. This year really will help you for next year. Fair winds and following seas..
