<p>As my areas of interest i put mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, astrophysics, nanotech, nuclear eng, and AI, in that order... and CRAP i just realized that i reversed the order 1, 2, 3 in terms of 'interest' on the application for interest areas</p>
<p>and on another note, SSP is the summer science program (summerscience.org) that you can find some info on in other threads...and yes you have to pay 3200 for it - anyway i think sharp is better</p>
<p>well you do research in both but nasa gives you a possible internship opportunity for future summers, while ssp might/might not (i never really found out about it). nasa's reputed but so is ssp. </p>
<p>if i were you, i'd find out what i'd be researching for both (possibly call them?) and chose the program based on which topics you'd be researching and whether you want to pay the 3200 for it. although looking at it monetarily sounds like you are overlooking the real value, money is money. </p>
