i’m a rising senior, is it too late to apply, and how do you apply? my teacher referred questbridge for me, but i didn’t get an email or anything yet. and does being part of questbridge increase your chances in getting into elite colleges?

@Powerbomb: they say it is significantly challenging to become a finalist without test scores. Matching is whole different ball game; they actually have requirements for that. I’d recommend you read over past posts as all your questions are answered in there.

Interesting; GetToCollege, I’m afraid that too much CP discussion may warrant your posts being deleted. You should probably move it to a different thread (reason why I said this is a little off topic).
It is really honorable that you put your needs above your wants though, and I hope you can go to Amherst. :)

Hey! Sorry, maybe someone has already answered this, but here goes:
If someone is named finalist but does not rank any schools for the Match process, when are the supplemental materials due for some of the schools?
For example, let’s say someone wants to apply to Yale through QB regular decision, when is Yale’s supplement and the Common App due to them?

GetToCollege: Well my telementor emailed me, introduced herself, and asked me a few questions, to which I responded and wrote about myself similarly. She seemed nice but I never got any reply haha…

If I list only non-binding schools (MIT, Stanford, Yale ,Princeton, Notre Dame) as matches and say I get matched with more than 1 school, will I see which schools? Or just the one that was at the top of my list?

You posted a good scenario list on post #387. However, in scenario 2, what happens to your standing with Scripps? Does your acceptance mean nothing because Notre Dame, a higher ranked school, accepted you too? Can you apply Regular Decision to Scripps?

SO what if I get into say, Stanford (nonbinding). Decide to apply rd to MIT, Yale, Princeton and some non questbridge schools. If I was already matched with MIT, Yale and Princeton but Stanford was my 1st choice, so I only knew about Stanford, am I automatically into MIT, Yale and Princeton via RD?

^ That’s one of those “if a tree falls in a forest” questions. You don’t know if they would have taken you in Match and you wouldn’t know if they would NOT have taken you in Match, so words like “automatic” become irrelevant. Furthermore, even had they not taken you in Match, they could still take you in RD. S was not taken by Princeton in Match (his first choice) but was taken by them in RD.

I’m sure this questing has been asked before, but I’m still very confused. I just recieved a letter from QuestBridge in the mail requesting that I apply, but their Binding vs. Non-Binding contracts still confuse me. Is it that if you do apply for more than on school, and are marked as a finalist, only one will choose you, and you have to go to that one, or is it that more than one can offer the scholarship, and you choose which one you go to?
