<p>I am certain that I am a high scorer, with a PSAT score of 223 in a state where the highest has been 210.
However, I was not even notified late last school year or given the opportunity to notify colleges, and I was not noticed that I was a high scorer. Is it possible that my school dropped the ball? Or are others experiencing/ have experienced this?
Also, I am certain that my test was above board and that it would have counted towards the competition.</p>
<p>If you look at other threads, you will get more specific details, but basically, that is the same experience as many others, including my dd. Many schools did not notify students regarding the high scorer status. Our PSAT results actually say that high scorers will be notified in September. NMSC changed things this year, and are no longer doing the 2 colleges thing. Congratulations on such a great score.</p>
<p>Dukehopeful, did you take the PSAT in 2012? If so, notifications for national merit semi-finalists are just being released this week.</p>
