Are there any colleges that allow there national merit scholarships to stack with other, departmental scholarships they offer? I am referring to schools that offer full rides (tuition, room, and board). So if you got a full ride through the full, you could potentially pick up a departmental scholarship and earn a nice yearly stipend. For instance, at the University of Kentucky they give full rides to NMF plus $1000 stipend, and the engineering department gives a $3000 yearly scholarship to any engineers with 33+ math act subscore and 29+ composite act subscore. If a NMF goes to UK and enrolls to get a degree in engineering, will get receive a total of $4000 in stipend or will the departmental scholarship not be awarded?

I think Texas A&M does and gives a maximum of ~$21k a year.

Alabama does. Many NMFs get the big NMF scholarship PLUS the engineering scholarship or some other dept scholarship.
