Does anyone know what kind of scholarships FSU offers to National Merit Scholars? Our S is only a freshman, but I can still hope!

My understanding is that they give $5000 a year, an out-of-state supplement waiver if necessary, and a spot in the Honors Program.

sorry....i didn't look into that. i got the complete bright futures

UF gives a full ride for NMS and is a better school, why wouldn't you go there?

Florida State has much to offer ... but not much in the way of money to National Merit Scholars. The current FSU policy is not to recruit National Merit Scholars. They do award about a dozen scholarships to the top NMS who apply and choose FSU as their number one choice. This is nothing in comparrision to the 259 National Merit Scholars freshman this year (219 of whom received 24K scholarship packages) at the University of Florida.
