After coming home from a family vacation, I got a letter stating that the National Merit Scholarship Corporation did not receive my SAT scores.

I checked my sent SAT score history and College Board supposedly sent them back in November 20th. I tried calling the National Merit office but they did not pick up.

I'm not sure what action to take from this point. The SAT scores have to be sent in by December 31st, but I don't have time anymore to request College Board to send the scores again.

Do the best you can. Control what you can control.

Straighten things out once the NMS office begins answering its phones. Call everyday. Email the company (if that’s an option). Get your high school guidance counselor involved if it might help

Stay on top of things, and everything will work out. You’ll see.

I don’t see how the GC will be much help… this is an issue with the student and College Board and NMSC. Do you have the receipt or some printed evidence that you requested the scores be sent? I thought last year when you logged onto College Board you could see what past requests you had made to have scores sent – so if you log into your College Board account, you should be able to see that this was requested on a certain date. If it shows they were sent (or requested to be sent) and NMSC doesn’t have them, you could provide them with a screen print of that evidence that you did request it.

We got the same letter and paid AGAIN to have the College Board rush my ds’s scores. Then, we wrote a letter to the College Board with a CC to the National Merit office with our home phone numbers and asked that they call when they received our request. National Merit office called us on Friday Dec 20th.

This is what he wrote:
Copy and paste the above and edit where you wish.

We sent a letter to the College Board address, listed on the CB web site, but the College Board mail information is very confusing. We mailed our copy to:
College Board SAT Program
P.O. Box 025505
Miami, FL 33102
They either owe us a refund, or need to find the original report that was never sent.
Good Luck
