<p>I was ranked 45 and didn't get in. I guess most of the 150 got in off of alternate nominations. I'm frustrated.</p>
<p>Re-apply from college or ROTC.</p>
<p>I just finished my freshman year at UF and I did do ROTC, and it is my second year applying. I actually just talked to MAJ Romans on the phone, and he said I have a very strong candidate file which is well above the class average. I said it in an earlier post that last year I was medically disqualified for a condition I didn't have. This year, I got my application in near the deadline. For any kids that are thinking of applying, take my word for it and APPLY EARLY. It makes all of the difference in the world.</p>
<p>Another small thing for those of you doing ROTC - my son told me that there are a certain number of slots reserved for ROTC people at Camp Buckner for the Yearling Cadet Field Training. So, if you/your sons/daughters are interested, you should look into it next year - I'm sure it's something that you need to ask about and have to be recommended for by your ROTC commanding officer.</p>
