i got this in the mail recently and it looks pretty official. my family is struggling financially and i'm not able to pay the amount of money they request to attend the forum, so i want to make sure its a good program before making any decisions. Apparently they got my info through the student search service on CB. i've had similiar leadership conference stuff mailed to me, and i've heard that this kind of stuff really doesn't help with admissions anyway, but i'm interested in the program, and would like to know if any CCers who have gone could share their experiences?

It doesn't help much if at all

Don't even think about wasting your money on this if you can't afford it

They send it to practically everybody

Just a summer program any kid in the top 25% can do. Nothing special; will end up hurting your wallet...

-The Hurt Coot66

I got the exact same letter.

I might participate since it will only cost me 30 bucks due to school district subsidies.

Hmm..$30 might be worth it. For me it would be $$$$.

Nope just stuff for rich ppl. colleges dont care

sigh. its times like this i wish i had the money to be able to go as it does look interesting !!
oh well.

What they said. I got the same thing. I looked over the curriculum and the Forum for Law is like a cheap form of the debate tournaments I do for FREE every weekend. Waste of money, it seems. Unless you can raise money through fundraising, and you really really wanna go despite what we say, go for it.
