<p>I have recieved email conformation from my teacher that he has completed the letter of rec. and uploaded it last night Aug.23 and I logged onto naviance today Aug.24 and saw that under the status it says "in progress" for the letter which he said he uploaded and completed with the evaluation form. I'm not sure why it hasn't been uploaded yet!? Kinda fustrated and confused... do I need to do anything else? Can someone walk me through this process?</p>
<p>Also, how does the letter of rec. transfer into my common app account? I go to school forms and Im not sure what to do with that once the letter has been submitted(thinking ahead but waiting cause of what I said above) I have completed the waiver thing that says the following:</p>
<p>"You have indicated that you DO waive your right to access Common Application recommendation forms completed by your school. You have indicated that you authorize all secondary schools you have attended to release all requested records and review your application for the admission process."</p>
<p>How will my school reports and such be transfered as well?</p>

<p>The “in progress” status on Naviance can be misleading.
I have seen that.</p>
<p>It’s still too early to bother the teachers. Wait until mid september.
And you don’t have a true way to verify that your recs have been downloaded by colleges until you submit your applications and pay the fees to colleges.</p>
<p>Im not trying to verify that colleges have downloaded my recs. but Im looking for verification that it is uploaded to naviance (if that makes sense)… because once it says complete on naviance then can’t you go into common app under school forms and some how apply the recs to your schools?</p>
<p>Your school has not started therefore people in charge of Naviance have not updated Naviance status although your teachers have written and uploaded the recs. You are ahead of the game. Most of the kids may not know about Naviance yet and your school counselors probably will have meetings to teach seniors how to use Naviance, how to submit applications, and other materials. Your school may not let students have full access to Naviance until the school can monitor it. Wait until that time to talk to your GC.</p>
<p>I will wait to talk to my GC, and i am ahead of the game and thats how I like to be… its just me! I want to get this process over with so I dont have to stress so much and i want to just enjoy my senior year I am applying ED and cant wait to get it over with…</p>
<p>Our schools are finally moving to electronic documents via Naviance. They start the 4th as well. I have spoken with the guidance secretary, and she indicated they are being trained this week. I have a draft copy of their instructions, and will look them over, but it sounds like the school has to change the status before you can move it to common app. It also looks like they may have to approve the colleges they are being sent to. I’ll update when D and I figure it out.</p>
I am applying ED and cant wait to get it over with…</p>
