I attended the NC Governor’s School this past summer and looking at your stats I think you have a very good chance of getting in. This summer Gov School accepted 400(ish) females and approximately 200 males, so the chances of you getting in are higher. A lot of my friends at Gov School also attended Summer Ventures, so you also have a head up there. Don’t worry if you’re from a relatively small area, tons of Gov School students come from extremely tiny towns. You definitely have a chance of getting in, but then again the most qualified students still don’t get accepted into Gov School - it’s very selective.

Best of luck to you!

I am also applying this year for governors school! I can’t speak as someone who previously attended, but from what I’ve seen you have a great application. I think your only weak points are that your PSAT score is a little low (but you come from a small school, so it should be okay), and a few of the classes you’ve taken aren’t related to your discipline (Foods and Art). Although, the fact that you did something like Summer Ventures, and that you are top of your class really helps you out!

I wish us both good luck! Results come out pretty soon…!

Thank you!! Good luck to you too!

Has any one heard anything?

did you get in?

I did! @mackataca I wanted a new username haha.
