NC State or UNC?

I've already been accepted to UNC so I can only assume I will also be accepted to NC State. I seem to be having a hard time deciding which one to attend (assuming I do get accepted to NC State, of course).

Some background info:

I'm a 25 year old female and am graduating with my associate's degree over the summer and am planning to transfer for the fall 2013 semester.

I served 4 years in the military and am using my GI Bill for tuition, if that makes any difference.

I have been going to Cape Fear Community College for a year and a half so I'm very used to a small school. I am aware that both these schools are large and this concerns me somewhat. I'm easily intimidated.

I'm an English major with plans to obtain a master's degree in Library Science (probably at UNC).

I have a 3.9 GPA, mostly because I'm a good at test taking and last-minute essays. I tend to procrastinate, especially with reading, so I am dreading going to more difficult classes after getting so used to my community college.

UNC will be about an hour commute for the first 6-9 months due to my living situation. NC state will be about a 30-40 minute commute. After that I'll be moving to whatever town my school is in.

Please help me out with some pros and cons so I can make a decision! Thank you!

I’ve heard nothing but excellent things about UNC’s English department. If you are worried about procrastination, you could see a therapist or someone else who can help you with organizational skills. You could probably even look for tips online on how to stay focused.

Chapel Hill is a beautiful town and I would love to live there. If you can cope with the long commute for the first 6-9 months, I would recommend UNC.

NCSU and UNC are both good schools but UNC is definitely better for an English major. I don’t know where you’re commuting from but you may have to add to that 30-40 minutes to NCSU because traffic is definitely worse around Raleigh than it is in Chapel Hill.
