Financial aid letters followed the acceptance letters about one month after the acceptance letters.
@lanuit my daughter was asked how she used graphic design in high school. From what she could tell it was a jumping off place for the conversation to begin. She said he was very easy to speak with.
@Wattsupdesign Thank you! I read that some people were denied even after the interview. What do you think can be a deal breaker in the interview?
@lanuit denied recently? I have no clue what a deal breaker would be. I know failing a required class might would put your admission at risk.
Has anyone heard anything since showcase/review day?
Feels like it has been forever!
Nothing : (
Nada
No new for our house
We didn’t hear back until almost the end of February.
Was your notification by regular mail, email, or Wolfpaw?
We got an email that our Wolfpaw status had changed. When we logged in it said that she was accepted into the School of Design and we had a PDF letter we could print for show. The official letter came in the mail a few days later. I looked back in my Facebook timeline and we got notification on February 25th 2017.
Thanks- that is helpful.
The letter he received for the showcase was postmarked Dec. 18 and he didn’t receive it until January 2nd.
I was hoping the next notification would be electronic.
Decision out this morning #accepted
I got a notification to check my wolfpaw account this am and received a letter from the Office of Admissions saying I am into the university. On the next page, it listed my info, including my major Graphic Design. That doesn’t mean I’m into the design school yet, though, right? So confused!
My son was accepted into architecture!!!
I’m so excited! Whew! Best of luck to everyone!
What did the letter say?
@jlucey2018 if I remember correctly from my daughters 2 years ago it should say program accepted in bold then major. I believe this was on second page. First page did just welcome you to the university.
If they do like the did last year, the first letter in Wolfpaw will be a letter saying that the College of Design is recommending acceptance into the respective program to the NCSU Admissions Department. Internally, that acceptance will get sent to the University Admissions Department also and the Admissions Department will then produce another letter that looks very similar to the one all the other folks (English, Biology, Animal Science majors) got. Just a two step process for the College of Design…Good news…You’re IN!!! Get ready to work your butt off.
My D just got accepted into the College of Design today. Yeah! We need to decide on dorms. She is thinking about North Hall, Syme, or maybe even Becton Berry or Bagwell. A quieter dorm would be better. She is not an honors college student. Any suggestions? Thanks!
All those dorms are good because they are close to Leazar which is where studio is and they will spend A LOT of long hours. My daughter lives in North it’s an old hotel. It’s directly on Hillsborough and you have your own bathroom. Oh and congrats!!!
