Hasnt been much talk about this upcoming sat...but either way it is an important game this week against Stanford...
Personally, as a fan of the Pac 10....Stanford is garbage
I think we stomp all of the cardinal and i predict that brady will be back in the heisman race...(I think i said that last week too).. o well

Predictions/thoughts/

I predict we get to see a lot of Munir Prince, Evan Sharpley, and the rest of the second and third team :)

I don't understand why people say that he has to get back into the Heisman race. Sure he played awful against Michigan, but he got no support from his O-Line. If you look at his stats he has more yards and touchdowns and i'm pretty sure better completion % as Troy Smith. Brady is the man and he will walk all over Stanford.

Score... I believe that he should be the heisman......but I dont vote
I think he needs to show something in the enxt weeks to the writers...

I say the Irish roll all over Stanford. Brady Quinn has matured from adversity. He's still in contention for the Heismann, but I think the experiences from the past few weeks has redirected his focus back to the team and away from the individual stuff...which is good for everyone involved.

Even if not...despite our differences in age, my daughter and I both agree he has to be among the most Adonis-like male specimins ever to walk the ND campus :). Can't recall any like him in the four years I was there, that is for sure. According to my son, overhearing "Brady is a hottie" talk is just part of being a guy on that campus these days. Should that matter in Heisman voting and NFL draft? Of course not. Does it? I have a hunch so...

Ok, so we got it done. Bye week, need to heal and take a deep breath before starting up the rest of our midseason laid back schedule barring the UCLA game. O-Line didn't look as good as they should have. James looks like he has a bright future. Munir is showing why Charlie gave him Rockets number. Ray can hit like a beast. He will eventually be a better version of Tommy. Mike covered well overall the whole game. Good news there, needs to be consistant. Linebackers need to have more of a presence. Ashley is filling in well. Jeff is still the man. Rhema continues his comeback tour in good fashion. Brady won't win the Heisman.

I was unable to watch the game....but by watching sportscenter It looked like it was a pretty easy game.... which it should be......ummm...running game looked good.....but the worst thing we could do would be to overlook UCLA.....they are a decent team that good have a big day......we sbetttter/should be ready to play

My uncle called me and said that some Notre Dame fans were calling the Hogs when they heard the Auburn/Arkansas score. Is this true?

Not sure that I know what you mean when you say calling the hogs, but if I do, I don't think we were...at least not where I was. We were all very happy for Arkansas, that is for sure.

I feel very confident, chillin, that under the vigilant eye of Charlie Weis--and after the Michigan Massacre and the MSU Scare--the Irish aren't about to overlook anybody. With one loss, the only hope for a BCS bowl bid is no more losses...at least before USC. My guess is they will be fully prepared...and a week's rest won't hurt them either.

We didn't overlook Michigan or Michigan St., if that's what you mean.

I kind of think we did overlook Michigan, not so much in disrespecting them as an opponent, but in being way too distracted by the crush of the media, the talk of Heismann Trophies and national championships. That's an awful lot for a group of kids aged 18 to 22 to handle.. By the time they hit MSU, they were still spooked by the Michigan debacle. They learned a lesson, as I'm sure Charlie did, too. Those two games matured them a lot.

Im confident that we have the talent to beat the remaining teams before USC...... Im not saying that we can't be USC, because i think we will, but that game could go either way.... airforce and company dont have half the talent as we do..but we cant take them lightly.... we got it...

I watch the games again so I can concentrate without emotion, and our O-line is SO inconsistant. We won't be able to hang with anyone big until that is fixed.
