<p>Tiddlywink - It depends on the class. People will use laptops in big lectures that involve heavy notetaking (intro to polysci and intro to psych are some classes that come to mind). A regular notebook is fine for everything else, though, and that's what most people tend to use.</p>
<p>Also keep in mind some professors will not allow you to have laptops for notes in the smaller classes because of the rampant AIM use going on.</p>
<p>What are popular sophomore dorms?
Which dorm is most popular with COM students?
How often do parties go down in the Allston area?
Is it common for BU students to go to the MIT campus to party?
Are the rooms in Myles bigger?
Danielson seems very far but I saw the backdoor pictures and the rooms seemed quite comfortable. Do you know anything about it?
Do you recommend doing an external (non-BU) summer program, or is it just too much of a hassle?</p>
<p>"Is it common for BU students to go to the MIT campus to party?"</p>
<p>ummmm yes. Very easy for girls. Guys can get in if they're with girls (or so i've been told). All of the booze is gone by 5ish from what my friends told me.</p>
<p>I believe Allston has a good amount of parties too.</p>
<p>@Chocolateisgood:</p>
<p>Shelton, Myles, and brownstones are all popular among sophomores.</p>
<p>If you are female, there are parties. Enjoy them and hush up when you return.</p>
<p>Most rooms in Myles are the same size or smaller their than equivalents in other dormitories. It depends on the suite. The more people you're willing to live with, the more generous your alloted space.</p>
<p>Danielson isn't fun. It's farthest from campus, haphazardly laid out, and without a cafeteria.</p>
<p>I don't know the damnedest about "summer programs".</p>
<p>What are popular sophomore dorms? Shelton, Myles, Towers, brownstones (w/o a kitchen)
How often do parties go down in the Allston area? Every weekend
Is it common for BU students to go to the MIT campus to party? Common for girls, I guess. There are MIT frats on campus (next to Shelton and on Beacon St. by Danielson) as well.

Danielson seems very far but I saw the backdoor pictures and the rooms seemed quite comfortable. Do you know anything about it? I've never lived in Danielson, but I hear from friends that the culture is very cool (it's like it's own little community because it is somewhat separate from the other dorms). I lived across from Danielson last year (in a brownstone) and I didn't find it VERY far. My advice: get a bike if you don't want to walk. Danielson even has a nice bike storage room in the basement.
Do you recommend doing an external (non-BU) summer program, or is it just too much of a hassle? Are you talking about study abroad?</p>
