Need AP for SAT II Bio?

I'm thinking about taking the SAT II Bio in November, but I haven't taken AP yet. Would it be better to wait and take it after or is most of the stuff covered in honors? Thanks in advance!

Bump......

My sister took it in the spring of her freshman year after taking an honors class, and she scored a 720 so a 700+ is certainly possible.

A friend and I got 800's after honors. It depends on the rigor of your class. I didn't need to learn anything new for the AP after acing the SAT II.

Then again, you'll probably be even MORE prepared (moreso than you could be right now) after taking the AP.

I know CliffsAP is the best prep book for the AP Bio test, but what is the best prep book for the SAT II Bio test?

I took Honors Biology freshman year and then AP Biology sophomore year. I took the test after the AP class because I felt more prepared than I did sophomore year. I took the test and received a 710. I would suggest taking the SAT II durring May if you plan on taking the AP test because you can study for both at the same time. To prepare for the SAT II, I basically studied for my AP exam, because in my opinion, the SAT II for bio is easier than the AP exam. So, I used by textbook, Campbell's Biology and the Cliffs AP to study for both the AP and the SAT II.
