Need help, an insight, or any advice at all!!

Ok, so I’m a student at Schoolcraft CC in Michigan trying to transfer to UofM Ann Arbor. I just submitted my application, and I’m unable to get my HS transcripts from my homeschool because we owe a huge pass due. According to the UofM site they will not even review my application until everything is submitted(including HS TS). However, I do have my GED, and a lot of college work done. (56 Cr Hrs). I’ve worked so hard the past two years to fulfil all of the LSA transfer courses, and I’m scared my application will never be reviewed because of something that I’m financially incapable of fixing. What should I do?!?

You’re trying to transfer - transfer application requirements are typically slightly different than those of incoming freshman. Typically transfers do not need to submit HS transcripts because those grades may not be indicative of their most recent academic performance now that they’ve taken college level course work. Sometimes, however, there is a unit threshold a student must meet to be considered a transfer applicant and thus be subject to the transfer application rules.

I suggest looking over the application process if UofM again for transfer students to be sure if you need HS transcripts or not.

If you do . . .
Did you home-school for the classes and then take the GED tests, or did you home-school for a bit and then take other classes in a nobefide GED program?

If the later, then you can attempt to request the transcripts from the GED program, although it won’t be all of your courses since you’d be missing the home-schooled ones, it at least gets something to the school and you can attach or send an explanation for why and they may accept.
