I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at a local community college with plans of transferring to UC Davis. I received my rejection letter recently and I feel like I should at least attempt to appeal that decision (transfer students have until Apr 11th). I currently have 100+ units as a CC student, AA degree in lib studies, IGETC and Bredth certificates, although I was only exploring majors my first two years and only decided on ME this year. [ I am on my way to finishing all my math classes (Calc I, II, II, Diff Eq, Lin Algbra), Taken Physics I, Chem I, Comp methods Engr, and taking Engr Circuit Analysis. ]

The thing is I have absolutely no idea on how to get started. I regret not choosing a alternative major in Math (so I can switch majors after admission) but my passion is Engineering. Nothing major has changed either.

So I'm looking for a few words of advice. And those of you whom sucessfully appealed, would you mind letting me read your letters for inspiration?

Weird thing is I was accepted to every university I applied to out of HS, whoever said it was a better idea to go to a community college first, I beg to differ.-

thanks for reading.
