Where do you want to go to college (geographically)?
Here are some merit aid options: http://automaticfulltuition.yolasite.com/
Your in-state public colleges will also be less expensive.
The vast majority of colleges that have good financial aid will also count the income of your father.
To be more specific than @“Erin’s Dad” , the schools that will count your father’s income are those that say “yes” in the noncustodial column on this chart.

Schools that are not listed above and schools that have No on the chart will only use your mother’s income.
The college board Big Future website will let you search for schools that meet 80% or more of financial need. (Do not search on 100% of need because that will limit your choices too far.)

The Debt by Degrees website will show you colleges that are friendlier towards lower income students.

Start with the these two search engines and visit some college websites. When a school looks interesting, look for a net price calculator to estimate what you will be expected to pay for that school.

Will your mom still need help once you go to college?
Is there a college that you can commute to from home?
@AroundHere I didn’t post that list because it’s not complete. Some schools use their own forms and collect NPC info, like Princeton. The OP should look at each school’s web site to see if NPC income is considered.
@“Erin’s Dad” Perhaps I should have said “Almost all schools that…”
In any case, I’m a believer in lists and website to help narrow down choices before digging in to all of the individual websites. Filling in NPC after NPC and hoping for the best can be a slog, and some NPCs are terrible (have out of date cost of attendance, give net price without clearly breaking down where the rest of the money is coming from, miss issues like non-custodial parents, etc).
Do you want to stay in Connecticut? Connecticut College is a small liberal Arts College in New London. As an alum, (and an ex Dean) I can tell you that there you wold not be a Number but a name able to forge a path tailor made and perfect for you. Go to their website and check them out. They have an excellent government department that lends itself to a pre-law discipline.
