I got the offer from UCD. When I was applying,I planed to take EWRT 1A and EWRT 2 at this quarter (2013 spring) at De Anza college. However I changed my plan now because I was not allowed to take EWRT2 since I did not meet the pre-requirement. So I am just taking EWRT 1A now. Is that gonna to impact the admission? w8ing online, Much appreciated!

Anyone has similar problem? how do u solve it?

Idk.

.

Were EWRT 1A and EWRT 2 supposed to be your 2 transferable English courses? If so, it’s most likely you’re going to be rescinded. :\ The minimum requirement is to complete - “two transferable college courses (3 semester or 4-5 quarter units each) in English composition” by spring.

I know about this. I choose UCD because someone said UCD admission requirement is different from the other UC. EWRT2 is not necessary .So just ask some UCD students, make sure if it is true or not.

Looking at your IGETC for your college, it is likely that your application will be rescinded. However your chances might be slim but you can email the admissions office and tell them that you had to drop the class, and they might let you take the class over the summer or at UC Davis. Good luck.

Here is what it says on UC Davis’ transfer admission requirement webpage:

"You must complete the following UC requirements in English and math with grades of C or better:

two transferable college courses (3 semester or 4-5 quarter units) in English composition
one transferable college course (3 semester or 4-5 quarter units) in mathematical concepts or quantitative reasoning

These courses, along with any prerequisite courses for your major, must be completed by the end of the spring term before your transfer to UC Davis for fall enrollment."

“Math & English should be completed as early as possible in the collegiate experience
but all 7 courses must be taken no later than the spring before enrollment.”

You’re right, you don’t have to take EWRT 2. You can take other transferable English courses such as EWRT 1B, EWRT 1C, etc. But you have to complete 2 transferable English courses by spring before transferring. I’m pretty sure this is the same for all UCs. Hope this helps.

@blackdelias thanks for help :)

No.

.

I would call their admissions office directly.
