I know its VERY reach heavy list, but my college prep counselor helped me make it. I would love some more opinions. I am told that I am a very academically competitive applicant and my counselor has gotten kids into very prestigious schools and into every ivy league. I KNOW I need more matches and safeties. Any ideas? (Prospective English/PoliSci Major)
You have not given us any information such as what your parents will pay, your GPA, course rigor, test scores, ECs, etc.
UVA, UNC, and W/M are automatically in the reach category due to your out of state status. You only have 1 school on your list that might (?) be a safety - UF. GW might be a match but we don’t know because we have no information. The rest are reaches regardless.
Please give us more information so we can help you find a list of likely schools.
Also- what are you looking for in a school? You have a bunch of schools on your list that are vastly different. Would you be happy at GW… versus UNC… versus Dartmouth? They are all very different.
@twogirls is right. You have one safety and one match. GWU is not a safety. You have a laundry list of tippy top schools. From some of your other posts, I suggest you look at some schools like U Richmond, Alabama, Clemson, Furman and maybe some LACs. College of Charleston, Union in NY, Bucknell, Lafayette, and Franklin and Marshall might work.
OP, without proving profile data, college suggestions are throwing darts at the side of a barn.
OP is a high stats student with a 34 ACT. I beleive his top choice is Harvard, which he is planning to apply to SCEA.
