Need Restaurant for Bday Party... Help

Looking for a BYOB restaurant that is in walking distance or short cab ride from Penn. Large party (25 ppl)

Thanks :)

Short cab ride = anywhere in the Center City district… walking home after a BYO night is something adults cannot advise you to do, but from personal experience, it’s fun as hell.

Olive is a fantastic restaurant near 3rd and South. Bistro La Baia is a classic Penn BYO closer to Rittenhouse. There’s always Gnocchi, near 5th and South (on Passyunk). La Viola used to be the standard, but last I heard, they did something that would discourage large groups of Penn kids from coming (expensive weekend menu or something… I dunno, haven’t been there in three years).’

It’s tough to go wrong in the Philadelphia BYOB world… dozens of amazing restaurants all over the place.

On the other side of the city is the classic Don Memos, if you want to the BYOT route (just be prepared to have a terrible morning the next day… and don’t walk back to campus from 69th and Market).

Thank you soooo much!!

Marigold Kitchen is a top-ranked BYOB at 45th and Larchwood or thereabout, so super-easy walking distance from Penn. 25 people there might be a challenge, however, although they could probably give you a whole room.

The SEPTA Blue Line puts you minutes away from some great BYOBs that are more than a short cab ride from Penn – Modo Mio in Fishtown (two blocks from the Girard station) and Koo Zee Doo in NoLibs (near Spring Garden).

If you like margaritas/Mexican food, do Don Memo’s. It will be the greatest night of your life.
