Hello, I am a 17 year old white male who attends a private school in Maryland. Last year I visited FSU and fell in love, I will do anything to get in! I have a 3.4 FSU weighted GPA, by the time I graduate I will have 6 ap classes under my belt. I got a 1790 on the SAT and a 27 on the ACT. My schedule this year is AP Stat, AP Comparative Gov, AP Psych, World Lit, Religion, Accounting, Pre-Calc. I have already sent in my application for Fall 2012, and I put A LOT of time in to my essay. My resume is mostly dominated by employment and I have 75 service hours.

While I would love to get in Fall 2012, I would definitely go for Summer if it meant acceptance. What are my chances, and do you have any tips that I could do to help me get in? THANK YOU!

So you need to get in @ FSU----
Well lets start off with several key factors----
As an out-of-state applicant, your chances of admissions as a true
freshman are lower as compared to an in-state applicant thus your
test scores should be higher than the average FSU applicant—
Keeping this in mind-
Your GPA of 3.4 is under average and FSU, as in most colleges will not
factor in your senior grades for initial consideration for admissions----
Additionally, your SAT score of 1790 is also a bit under average.
MY SUGGEST is to sign up again for the SAT
T O D A Y as it is the last day to register without paying a surcharge and
hopefully your new SAT score will significantly improve.
If not, then in my opinion, your chances are minimal at best.
Possibly a local community college and then transfer is a possibility.
Good Luck
