This is probably a really stupid question but do I need to know US Geography to do well in APUSH? My old school was in an international location and as such American geography was never covered. I don’t know this type of stuff: The Great Basin, Pacific Northwest, Canadian Shield, river names etc… Is that okay? thanks!

As an FYI, I took an AP-level USH class in high school, scored a 5 on the exam, and still had to google the above.
