Neurobiology question!!

i have a 5 on the Bio AP but i know i should still take a year of biology for med school.

to fulfill my biology requirement i would ideally like to do one semester of Human Neurobiology (+lab) and one semester of Cellular and Molecular Bio.

will med schools accept Neurobiology for the bio requirement or must it be a more general biology course??? does anybody know?? i'm thinking of just calling a few med school's admissions offices and asking them directly. i'd appreciate anyone's input. thanks!

Just 1 yr of Bio...it doesnt matter what kind of bio u take.

good job on the exam...i gotta 2 on mine hahaha but i didnt study or care.

You need a year of lab. More-advanced-than-general bio is fine, esp. if you have AP Credit. But if this MCB class you're talking about doesn't have a lab, you'll need to find one that does.

(Texas medical schools need one year of bio with lab, and then one more year of bio.)

it has a lab- sorry for forgetting to note that. so the Neurbio and Cell/Molec bio classes both have labs.

Then that's game. I would personally recommend taking a couple more. But those two will fill med school requirements.

^^ Agree, and I personally think Neuro is far more interesting than cell and molecular
