While I was in high school I was a good student graduated with a 3.4, but I didn't take going to college seriously. BIG MISTAKE. So we weren't required to take the SAt and I didn't. I graduated in 2005, is there anyway I can take it now? I have a college in mind that I'd like to attend, but it does have a SAT admission requirement. It was a big mistake doing that, is there any type of replacement testing that measures up to those standards?

You can take the SAT after high school. Really, the collegeboard only cares if your credit card goes through :)

I did (took the March '05 SAT as a senior at MIT), and got a couple of strange looks, but otherwise totally not a big deal.

why would you take it as a senior at MIT?

because he's a nerd.

I took it for recon purposes; to see the debut of the new SAT, witness the changes first-hand, and make sure our students were adequately prepared/experience once again what you guys have to suffer through :)

It was definitely a trip (maybe trip isn't the right word; there were definitely some jarring flashbacks :P) to show up at Brookline High School at 7am with my Starbucks and number 2 pencils. Someone from NPR was in the hallway interviewing people and pulled me aside after the test (they probably thought I was a high school student) and was like "Tell us about the test" and there were definitely raised eyebrows from the interviewer and other parents when I was like "um, I'm a senior in college... yeah, don't ask." :)

I've taken it regularly since 1989 because it's my business. If you think you got strange looks as a college senior, you don't know what strange looks are. :)

What business? Are you an SAT tutor or something?

For us older folks in the prep business, you can usually check our profiles for URLs.
