Hi everybody, im c/ Paris (it’s spelled differently). I am a second year applicant as well as a cadet and student at AFROTC det. 645 at the Ohio State University. (One of the best detachments, if not the best) I am hoping my experience here and my unfailing desire to the Academy will get me in. (along with some other good things of course.) I just finished my application a few days ago, the last item being a transcript from my first quarter here at OSU, so the wait begins.

Thats it for now, just wanted to say hi

C/ Paris

Oh and sorry for all the parenthesis (I like using them)

We will make sure all the LSU fans are polite..., but wouldn't the Embry Riddle ROTC cadets feel a little uncomfortable being called 2nd best? Good luck with the Candidate Package, and hopefully good news soon.

since you brought it up, and i ahve so many friends at OSU, i believe you can't have the best AFROTC unit, simply because your sport's teams developed a new slogan for ohio state:

ha, no one thinks you're conceited, they're all joking. Welcome aboard. Just curious (and don't take this the wrong way), but why did you decide to reapply if you're already at a great AFROTC det.?

We all know both ways, AFROTC and AFA , will get us butter bars. But, i feel the Academy will train me (and i literally mean me, not everyone) more sufficiently. Theres also the fact that that i dont drink and am not a huge party person (which is what almost everyone here is, hence why im in my dorm right now) I like the structure and the fact that everyone there is working towards a very tough goal. I dont like partying, but it is extremely motivating for me to be around people in stressful situations or just working towards a common goal. All in all though, i want to do something that will strengthen me as a person, in confidence or whatever, so that i can help this country (in all aspects). One other factor of many, i dont want to regret not trying to do this. Oh, and i would like to be a pilot. :)

I could go on and on but i wont. AFROTC is great, and i will stay with it if the AFA doesnt pan out, but I just think i would be stronger officer coming out of the AFA.

We are all really just playing with you....Even if LSU did beat "The" Ohio State...My Pharmacy Director is from OSU, and he took a pretty good ribbing for a couple of weeks.

ROTC is a great way to earn that commission, and you sound like you know which way you want go. I assume your ROTC Commander made the recommendation begrudgingly? Good luck with the application, and everything working out right your arrival in Colorado for BCT.
